hello!
i hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing Christmas.
this is the last Make My Week for 2011!!
(i totally stuffed up the week numbers, did you notice? you should have told me! oops~)
for the finale i wanted to show you Jada's 2011 Christmas dress - it was restyled from a red shirt, bought by JR in Thailand about 10 years ago...
::before::
::after::
doilies for the collar and bias tape for the straps.
super, super simple!
and inspired by this sweet Modcloth dress:

::and here you go, a 'before & after' in one::
you get bonus points if you remember Jada's restyled Christmas dress from last year which was featured on Rachel Denbow's blog !! (i know, shameless name-dropping but it's my only claim to fame and i'm gonna claim it thankyouverymuch! ;) )
did you make something new for you or your kiddos to wear on the 25th?
X

LOVE!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is jaw-droppingly awesome, simple & beautiful... did I say "love" already...?
My gal had a handmade dress for xmas, but I didn't make it... I wish I'd seen this earlier haha. Fabulous.
Just made the photo bunting holder thingos tonight - looks so cute, will post a picture tomorrow, thanks for that idea too!
I love it and I think it's actually cuter than the dress on Modcloth.
ReplyDeleteAdorable!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous dress Dee, you've out done yourself! Well done for completing Make my week for another year, so many inspiring creations.
ReplyDeleteI have made not one but 2 new dresses for Rascal these last few weeks. Not only that, but she loves them and has actually worn them several times! I'm feeling just a little bit proud of myself :-)
You are too clever and Jada is adorable. I just made toys. Need to have a go at some dressed for M. Cx
ReplyDeleteHi, just found you and had a little scroll through. Totally know what you mean by the whole numbers thing, it's one of the reasons I started a new blog.
ReplyDeleteLove the dress!

ReplyDeleteIt's so cute! I love the use of doilies.
ReplyDeleteI made a necklace for me, and for my boss, and little fleecelined boot slippers for two of the babies in my life!
Gorgeous! I did make mine pjs to wear to bed and then I made myself a dress because I'm a bit selfish like that when it comes to who I make clothing for!!! Are we doing it all again in 2012 would you be able to make the button code for me again?? I lost it at some point and I searched and searched your blog but couldn't find the post - just a link to the post if that isn't too hard.... I lost it when i changed my blog theme at some point......anyway, inspiring, very inspiring Dee
ReplyDeleteWow - amazing!!
